Supporting Children with Additional Needs – Pam Giblin

Pam Adams,(Giblin) is located in Newchurch, Romney Marsh, Kent.

A Level 6 Qualified Chi Medics Practitioner, Reflexologist, Reiki Master  MFHT. CNHC. UK Reiki Federation Member

I am passionate about helping people manage their pain (physical and mental) the reason I became a reflexologist in the first place was that I wanted to do something to help people, too many friends and family were being told by doctors  ‘you’ll just have to learn to live with the pain’ and I thought ‘why should they?’

I qualified in May 2013 and discovered Moss and Sharon and the magic that is Chi-Medics in 2019, with my first course being energy and the spine – which totally blew me away!

During treatments, I have always made sure that I include a lot of spinal work as I feel it is hugely beneficial for overall well-being, over the years clients have always raved about how much better their back felt, literally hobbling into my therapy room and walking out, but Chi-Medics methods have taken this to a whole new level.

I could probably fill a book with feedback from client’s and my own observations, but this particular one is very special.

I am privileged to work at a school for children with extra needs, and have been working with 5 children of varying ages, disabilities and needs for over a year.

One of the children, who was 6 years old when I started treating her last year, is wheelchair bound, non-verbal with multiple health issues, despite this, she is an absolute ray of sunshine and if you could bottle her laugh it would light the world up with joy.

This precious girl has responded so well to her treatments, having partial scoliosis of the spine, I do of course always include spinal work – Chi-Medics style into her sessions.

After about 8 months of working with this child, I mentioned to her teaching assistant that she was starting to wiggle her toes and move her feet. She looked at me in disbelief and said ‘Pam, her surgeons have said that is impossible, she will never be able to move anything below the waist’.

The following week I bought it to her attention again so that she could see for herself and she was absolutely gobsmacked. I encouraged her to bring the I-pad to the following weeks session so that she could film this clever girl moving her feet and toes, which she did, and her foster parents were absolutely blown away.

They are going to take the footage with them to the next hospital appointment and show the consultant. Each time this beautiful girl moves her feet, I say ‘are you being clever’ and she really giggles with delight, she is now, over the past few weeks getting a real big ‘knee jerk’ movement in her right leg, and she looks as surprised and delighted as myself and the teaching assistant.

This work with the spine is just the tip of the iceberg with Chi-Medics, I can honestly say it is the BEST training I have every done over the last 12 years, Sharon and Moss’s knowledge is just remarkable, and once you have that knowledge at your fingertips, it takes treatments to greater heights than you could ever imagine. If you are passionate about helping people to the best of your ability, Chi Medics training is the key to achieve that.

I started with doing some CPD courses and then just had to do the practitioner training, it is a skill that never stops giving and you will be learning from the knowledge for the rest of your life, it truly is remarkable.

One of my case studies (who is also a reflexologist) said to me ‘Pam, EVERYONE should learn to work in this way, it is so powerful. I only want Chi-Reflexology for future please’.
